Do any of you know if there will be anymore books in the series after Norway to Hide? I just finished it yesterday, and couldn't find anything on the author's site (unless I overlooked it).

I just looked too and don't see anything after Norway.  Oh sad!

I recently finished the last book in this series and am hoping that there will be more.   At this time, though, there is nothing about it on her website or on Amazon.   I may e-mail the author to see I can find out.

Thank you for bringing this series to my attention.  I've looked into it and they look very good.  I will see if I can find a deal on them.  :)

I e-mailed the author back in June.  Today I received this I guess we can consider it bad new and maybe good news:

Dear Geri ~

Thank you so much for writing... and for liking the series so much!  I wish my news was better, but here's the scoop.  Pocket canceled the series after NORWAY TO HIDE was published.  Like, the day after.  They'd let go all their other cozy mystery writers a couple of years earlier, so I was kind of expecting it, which is why I tied up a few loose ends in NORWAY.  I just wish they'd told me *before* I traveled to Holland to research the next book!  I was planning to call the next one DEAD DUTCH and it was going to revolve around a group from Bangor, Maine who were celebrating their 50th class reunion by touring  Holland with Emily's Iowans.  I didn't know exactly what was going to happen, but I was looking forward to being surprised by the characters.

Anyway, since my release, I've been working on an historical thriller (about the MARY CELESTE, whose crew mysteriously disappeared mid-ocean in 1872), but I've received so much email about the series that I've actually written the first page of DEAD DUTCH and have the names of a couple of houses who publish series that have been canceled by the New York publishers.  I've been dealing with a family illness since March, so I've had neither the time nor emotional energy to sit down at my computer, but things are starting to stabilize, so I'm optimistic that I'll be able to get back to my routine soon, like, this week.  Nothing is certain in publishing, so I just have to plug away and see what happens.  But it's wonderful being encouraged by fans like you.  I SO appreciate it!

Please don't give up on me, or Emily, or Nana just yet.  I'm going to keep working, and let's keep our fingers crossed that something good happens.

Thank you again for your kind words, Geri.  Emails like yours always make me smile.

Cheers ~
maddy

Thanks for the update, Geri! I hope she can find another publisher, because the new scenario sounds interesting. :)

I sure hope so too.  Both the Passport to Peril in Holland and the historical thriller sound interesting.  Just think if she finds another publisher we can be going around the world with the Passport to Peril books.
