I never took it off my WL when the long delay started--I stayed  at #47 of 47--but now the numbers are increasing steadily --I am 47 of 116.

I hope that means the book really is coming!

Heh - lucky me, I am in position 69. ;-)  And unlikely to move out of it any time soon, if ever.

Willa

When the book hits Amazon for pre-orders you will be 69 of 289 or more!

Yes,  I am number 35.  This was one of the first books I requested when I joined back in 2006.

I sure hope this one is coming.  I almost gave up on it.

I am #12.  I've been tempted to take it off many times but decided to leave it on until I finally get around to reading Passion.  I have a feeling I'm not going to like that book.

edited to say that I have Passion, I just haven't read it.

You might as well leave it on, for now.  I took myself off the list for Raven Prince and lived to regret it.

I don't know what position I am off hand.  Usually when  book has a line that long, I just buy it, read it and post it here.  When it comes out the line will sky rocket and then it'll move fast as people read and post the book.

I just got The Thirteenth Tale from Amazon because when I went to add it to my WL here it was up to 268.

I like to wishlist books like that just to remind me to buy the book when it comes out! :)  Sorry most of the time they are keepers.

I had heard it was coming out in May. Her website says to check back there for news about Passion on april 30th. That is about all there is on her site. I don't know if it is under construction. I am #63 and it feels like forever that we've been waiting.

I am # 4, but if it does actually get published, I'll probably buy it just to try to support the author.

I just wish it would be available on amazon (or anywhere else for pre-order!)

I'm 101 of 120, lol!  I have considered removing this one from my WL because I didn't like the first book, but I'm willing to give it a shot.

I don't have it on my WL.  When it comes out (trying to stay positive) I'll be buying it.  Passion was a keeper for me so I don't want to wait in line to read Patience.

I found this info at Fresh Fiction.  The "page" itself is dated for today (4-17-08) sooooooooooooooo . . . . . hopefully they know more than we do (heck, when it comes to this book, do we know anything at all?) and are correct!

2007 - just shows how out of date they are.

Oh crud! I read it as May 1. 2008!  Which actually made no sense to me since May 1st is a Thursday.

I am still hopeful that Fresh Fiction is/was on to "something" because they listed it as a May release on their page which was dated 4-17-08.  So . . . . . . . . .  ????   I guess it will be more hurry up and wait.

Originally Amazon had it for Pre-order but took it off after a long while. When you see Amazon put in back as available for Pre-order again then you know it is actually coming.

Here it is ladies, directly from the ummmm *horses* (cough) mouth.

April 30, 2008

Gracious Readers,

I had hoped to announce today that the once and for all, never to be revised, re-written, re-analyzed, re-worked (except at Cindy's request) version of PATIENCE was turned in. Alas, I'm not quite there. However, I am VERY close. One day, I will talk more about the struggles with this book, and all the beginnings I wrote that weren't really the beginning. But for now, all I can say is that PATIENCE is more than a book, it's a virtue. And though you are likely as parched for PATIENCE as my sainted editor, I beg your indulgence for just a bit longer.

As soon as I have at last released the final manuscript from what will, no-doubt, be my reluctant hands, I will post that I have done so. I will also post the moment I have a release date from Cindy.

Also, as some of you are aware, my web-site went down temporarily. Unfortunately, I lost my whole address book. So, even if we've been in touch in the past, please join my Yahoo Group. Then, as soon as I have news I will send an announcement there first.

Many thanks to all of you for your continuing support . . .

Ciao bellas,
Lisa

All I can/will say is  . . . . . . .   W T F !??????????!     @@

WTF is right.  I can't imagine it is going to be any good since she's been working on it for over three years.  She let all the people who didn't like Passion get to her and started trying to write for her critics.  That's usually the kiss of death.

Wow, that is a long time for an author to spend on a romance book. There are a few fantasy authors I read that write epic series that take 2 or 3 years to churn out books but they are usually complex and very long (think 600+ pages) so it makes sense for them to spend so long writing each book. OTOH, a romance book like this that is what...300+ pages...I wouldn't think it'd take so long to write.

I don't know that it matters.  By the time I get Passion, she's liable to have 5 or 6 of them out:P
