Has anyone gotten Wolfsbane & Mistletoe yet?  I was thinking of buying it, but wanted to know how it was.  I am so high on WL, I have to buy it if I want to read it in the next 5 years!!  I loved all her Mercy books to date and think this will be just as good.

Wolfsbane and Mistletoe is an anthology, not a novel.  each story includes or relates to Christmas and werewolves.  the collection was good, but not great.  i got it from the library.

i couldn't remember off the top of my head, so i had to go look it up.  the Patricia Briggs story is set in the same world as her Mercy Thompson books, but doesn't involve any of the main characters.  a mercenary werewolf gets a call for help just before Christmas.

I read both Wolfsbane and Mistletoe and Blood Lite.  W and M was a much better collection.  The Patty Briggs story is about the black soldier David who was turned with Adam when they were in combat.  (He leads a rescue team and became the poster guy for the werewolves coming out in one of the novels.)  This story is about him and his family.  There are about 15 stories.  I liked them all.

I read Wolfsbane and Mistletoe as well.  Normally I don't like anthologies at all, but this one was actually pretty good, I enjoyed all of the stories at least some and some of them alot :-)

I love Patricia Briggs but am not too keen on anthologies so I don't know if I will read it.

I usually don't like every story in an anthology.  In W and M I did.   It had stories from some of my faves, Carrie Vaughn, Patty Briggs, Charlaine Harris.  Also some folks I have never read who I'm going to read now.  It's staying on my keeper shelf.  Not all the stories were great.  But there wasn't any that I questioned why they were even in this collection.  Will be a nice holiday treat to reread next year.  And probably won't be in paperback until next holiday season.
