What's the question Margaret?  I loved her historicals.  Back in the Topaz imprint days she was an auto-buy for me.  Sweet Everlasting and To Have and to Hold are still on my keeper shelves....

I glommed her & the only one I loved enough to keep was Wild at Heart.  Hopefully that answers the question - lol.

I say, the answer is YES. I've never read a Gaffney I didn't adore.

Willa, are you talking about  just  her historicals or all her books?

Just her romances, though her contemporary novels are good too. I kind of forgot about them.

I started with that one too & it's a mixed blessing, IMO.  I think it's her best work, so bonus, but nothing I read after quite measured up.

yeah WILD AT HEART is one of my all-time favorite romances but I liked a few of her westerns just fine like OUTLAW HEARTS and SWEET EVERLASTING. her most trilogy is the Wycherley trilogy with the infamous TO HAVE AND TO HOLD as the middle book. I am one of those who didnt believe in the romance in it but the writing was still pretty amazing
