This is one of the worst books I've read in a very long time! I've read other Jenny Penn books so it isn't the author, just this particular book. I found the attitude and way they treated Patton to be way over the top. In one particular "situation" it was written that "Chase didn't care if he was hurting her" I'm not a fan of BDSM but can read some of it as long as the sub isn't hurt or humiliated......I felt like the brothers went a bit too far with her, and their arrogance was too much. I couldn't finish the book.
Not for everybody... Definitely erotica with 3 brothers lusting after a girl they helped raise. They don't want to 'soil' her with their brand of kinky dominance. She lusts back and tries many plots to break through their resistance. She eventually succeeds and a good time is had by all.
The whole 'slave' training thing is not my bag [I occasionally wanted to smack the brothers, especially Chase] but it was well written. Probably the biggest 'you've got to be kidding me' in this one is that the brothers own a BDSM sex club in a very small town. Granted the movers and shakers of the town are members but I just can't see this playing out for very long...
It is obviously set up for a sequel but it doesn't appear to be released yet.
They really should have proofread the book better - so many, many typos, spell-check errors and words missing. And how did they ever approve the cover? The art design was OK but didn't match the size of the cover so the picture is distorted. It would have worked so much better with sidebars or framing...

The sex in this book is absolutley hot once the brothers give in and claim Patton. I did get frustrated with Chase, who was just too arrogant and obnoxious. I admired Patton for standing her ground and not giving in when it came to how she wanted to be treated out of the bedroom. I think it's the first time Chase ever heard of the word "compromise".
The BDSM really was not bad. Some light spanking and light use of the flogger. I hate reading BDSM stories where the women is marked with welts and bruises and was very happy that this was not the case in this book. The brothers side business with the Cattlemens club was a turn off. It made it look like the brothers were pimps and not trainers.
I liked the menage and I liked the sex, but the brothers' heavy-handed arrogance was completely frustrating. For me, the best part was the rip-roaring argument Patton has with one of the brothers towards the end of the book; it put a little more life into the story. Interesting that there would be a sex club in a small town that half its residents belonged to; I wonder if there really is a place like that out there in small town USA? 3.5 stars.
