Asimov's first work of science fiction, Pebble In the Sky tells the tale of a 20th-century man hurled suddenly into a distant and frightening future.

In the futuristic world of the Galactic Empire, a single man fights pervasive prejudice and the forces of an oppressive political system. At stake is the very existence of humanity.
