I know I have my wishlist on auto-request. Sometimes, I might miss taking off a wishlisted book when I get a copy somewhere else - it gets posted, ordered... and I have to cancel.

many times people have to cancel because they have few credits and they are holding those for something specific.  Or they have had multiple versions (HB, PB) on their WL and they have already had one sent and they don't want two copies.  I've also had some offered and I'll reread the description and wonder "why did I ever want that book!"

Well, I know if I request a book and the person hasn't responded in 3 days or so I begin to wonder, so I sometimes try cancelling and reordering from someone else.  Maybe not a good thing to do, but I guess I'm just a little impatient at times! =0)

the only time I cancelled a book that quickly is that I was ordering 2 books for my mom, saw that one person had both books so instead of waiting for 2 shipments I ordered the 2nd book from the one member.  But other than that I don't cancel unless they aren't replying and I can get the book elsewhere.
