It was OK. I haven't read other books in the series so I have nothing to compare to nor do I have the backstory of Arizona. However it seemed like she was a character with a lot to overcome emotionally and while I'm sure the love of a good man fixes many things, it seems hard to believe it fixes all her deep emotional problems. Seems like she needs a shrink much more than she needs romp in the sack.

That said, I liked that Lori Foster wrote Arizona more like a male character. Someone who doesn't want to show emotion, who is more comfortable with the guys, who prefers to tough things out. There were some kind of sexy scenes and I liked how slowly Foster rolled out the intimacy between the h/h.

Overall an entertaining read that I will surely forget within the week.

Not a very good book, the first one in the series was the best, IMO. Arizona was just not a likable person at all; hard to read an entire book about an unlikable person.

Lori Foster always delivers and this book is a good example. I had not read the other books in the series, but it could almost stand alone. Arizona is a broken young woman and Spencer is the man who can "fix" her. Easy, sexy read 3 stars.

I enjoyed this steamy read from Foster. It does deal with dark topics like human trafficking and the aftereffects on the survivors, but you also know going in that the heroine is going to find her happy ending, so that made it okay for me. It did feel more psychological than the others in the series, though it has been a while since I've read them. The focus is on how Spencer helps Arizona love and enjoy sex for the first time with a few action scenes of taking down the bad guys. You get to see all of the characters from the other books too.

I enjoy most of Ms. Foster's books, but she tackles some subjects that are not comfortable. I did not enjoy this one as much simply because I doubt that any woman trying to recover from such abuse would be willing to engage in a sexual relationship for a long time.
