I tried using the live help (35 mins ago) but did not get a response from them.  I used the link in her referring email, put her name and email code when I registered, posted 13 books, and she still did not get the point.  What do I do?

Live Help cannot help you with this. Live Help questions are answered by volunteer Tour Guides. They can answer questions about how things work, but they can't see any details about your account or its transactions or make any changes to anyone's credit balance. What you need to do is use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the screen to reach the PBS Team. Give them the name and the city where your referer lives.

I'd wait a couple of days and see if the credit is given. If it doesn't show up, then use the "Contact Us" link to inform the site owners. I think they can manually process it if need be.

I don't think they get the credits until you do a couple of transactions.  Since you just joined today I'm guessing you have not done any transactions yet other then posting your books.

Ok well the help docs just say the 10 books have to be posted. 

Are you in the same household?  Has someone in your household had a PBS account before? Because it says the referral credits only go if the referred person was the first in their household to have an account.

When your referred member has Posted 10 books to his or her shelf, you will receive a credit.

  • You can keep track of your referrals (and if they have posted their 10 books yet) by clicking the My Referrals link at the top of your My Account page.

If a member you referred does not appear on your "My Referral" page

  • this means that he or she did not identify you properly (using your PBS Nickname or PBS User Email) as the referrer at the time of registration.
  • The referred member can write to us at any time, using the feedback area of the site, to ask for the referral to be recorded. We need one of the following in order to record your referral after the fact:
    • PBS nickname
    • PBS User Email
    • or full name and city/state
  • The referred member must be the one to contact us with this information.
