Just curious--Is there any way I can determine if a PM I sent has been read?

Thanks!

Yes, if they have read it on PBS. Some people just read the email sent by PBS.

Go to Account - Personal Messages - From Me. Once there, click on Unread. This will put a check in the box next to your message if that message has not been read on PBS.

Yes. If you go to your sent PMs tab, you should see a button that says Unread. Click that button and all unread PMs will have a checkmark next to them. Keep in mind though that the text of PMs is also included in the notification email, so the PM might have been read that way, yet never opened on the PBS site.

ETA: looks like I was responding at the same time as another member :)

Of course, anyone can read the message in the email sent by PBS and it won't show as read on this site.

Something strange about this:

I followed the instructions and clicked the "Unread" button.  One message was flagged as unread.  I opened that message (that I had sent).  Now, clickiing the Unread button marks NO messages as unread.  It's like my opening the PM marked it as "Read".

There is an option not to have the PMs emailed to you
