I read some really great books this year, started some great series I'd like to continue or finish in 2013 - however, at some point in the summer I started to slow down and fell short of my 2012 goal. I haven't even updated my sig line in months so that isn't even accurate.

I hope to read more for myself next year instead of getting all excited when I see posts about a great author I've never read, or books that get rave comments. That's great, I discovered a lot of NTM authors that way, but it didn't help the TBR.

Happy reading to everyone in 2013 - may you reach all your book goals next year.

I have a 400 reading goal on GRs, which I will meet. I have met all my reading goals to date for the most part. I will though before the end of the year. I am trying to finish up the hardest and that is DG's Voyager at over a thousand pages. I will give more stats at the end of the year. Some cool ones I think. :-) Gail, it doesn't matter that you didn't make whatever goals you had, it only matters that you tried. 2013 will be an ever better year.

My goal was to read 200 books in several genres - classics, fantasy, YA, historical, biographical, around the world, historical fiction, historical mystery mini challenge, contemporary, and mystery/thriller categories.  I've met the 200 goal and am working on finishing the classic challenge.  Last year I completed 215 before Jan. 1.  We'll see how it goes this year.

My goal this year was to read 125 books and complete at least 75% of the Mystery Challenge.  I have read 121 so far, better get reading here!  Have completed the goal in the mystery challenge.

I was hoping to read a book a day but got bogged down a bit in October.  Fell short but I hit 340 which was close.  I completed the mystery challenge more than once.  My big thing was to get the TBR below 400 and it's at 365.  Now if I don't get another new book in the house by this time next year I wouldn't have a TBR!  Not going to happen!  If I can get it to about 180 that would be nice.
