Malinda (LuvMyPaps) reviewed The Personal Workbook for Breaking the Chain of Low Self-Esteem : A Proven Program of Recovery from LSE on
Helpful Score: 1
This is a great book. It is a companion to Breaking the Chain of Low Self-Esteem. You don't need the actual book to follow the workbook (or vice versa), but I recommend it. It was very helpful.
When following the workbook it tells you exactly what to do next. You might answer 3 pages of questions and then it instructs you to read the next chapter from the actual book before continuing in the workbook.
There is everything from looking back at both positive and negative things from different age ranges of your childhood to the people who have had the biggest influence on you, to sample stories of people in various situations and then asks you to underline the negative things they think, and also the negative things you think they've been telling themselves throughout the story.
It's a real eye-opener to realize the faulty way we think and the negative things we tell ourselves every day and don't even know we're doing it.
