I love this entire series. Mr Anthony constructs engaging personalities for the main and supporting characters in both worlds. Proton is my favorite but both 'worlds' have charm of their own. Unlike some series, I loved the plots of each and every volume.

The now-merged worlds of magical Phaze and technological Proton face a new threat from an invading force known as the Hectare. While Citizens and Adepts alike wait helplessly on the sidelines, the task of turning defeat into victory falls to two special children--and an enemy agent. This conclusion of the "seven-novel Adept trilogy" features more of Anthony's best: sparkling wordplay, endless permutations of plot and characters, and light-hearted entertainment. Recommended where the series--or the author--is popular

It was different than I expected a sci-fi/fantasy book to be. But after a few pages I was hooked. So many imaginitive characters, ans storylines/depth behind these characters made the book a lot more absorbing.
I did not read the books before it as I had bought this on impulse, but it stands as a read alone book.
