This was a 5 star book in my opinion! Tracing a family through 4 generations until they reached the top of society in Philadelphia. Although the book was originally released in 1956, this is the 1956 50th anniversary edition with forwards by Robert Vaughn and daughter of the author, Dorothy Powell Quigley. By coincidence, I began reading this book about the time of Paul Newman's death, a star of the Warner Bros. movie "The Young Philadelphians", based on the book.
