I really liked The Other Boleyn Girl and The Queen's Fool- but not the Virgin's Lover so much.  I caught about 10 minutes of the movie you mentioned and had to turn it off, it was so bad- so no, I don't think it's a good representation.  That said, those are the only three books of hers that I have read, so I can't speak for the rest of them.

If I were you, I would read one of her books before getting the others.  I have a lot and cannot get into them at all.  But I keep trying.  I hated "The Other Boleyn Girl".  Gregory's books are not too detailed in the history department.  I am so used to reading Sharon Kay Penman's historical books that Gregory's in no way compare.  I might try reading "A Respectable Trade" and if I don't like it I am going to post all of my books.  For some reason her books sell and swap well.  JMHO
