Thaw the Cool Whip.
Drain the pineapple and oranges (use the juice in place of part of the water if desired).
Bring the water to a rolling boil and add all the Jello.
Stir constantly and cook for 2 minutes.
Remove from the heat and pour into a bowl to cool -stir occasionally to hasten the cooling process.
Add the thawed Cool Whip, oranges and pineapple.
Fold until well blended and serve.
I place all the Jello mix powders into a small bowl while the water is heating and then whisk them into the boiling water.
I cut the orange sections into smaller pieces and occasionally I use crushed pineapple instead of the tidbits.
Any flavor of Jello can be used in this recipe to suit the season, for example, I use orange at Halloween, red for Valentine's Day, green for St Patrick's Day.
