I would like to find a HF book that centers around Pirates. It dosen't have to be a love story, it could be good pirates or bad pirates or even cursed pirates like Jack Sparrow.

I don't have a clue where to start=)

By the way, I am reading The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett,http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/9780452280106-The+Pillars+of+the+Earth and I reccomend it to any HF fan!

I haven't read it, but I believe Grania: She-King of the Irish Seas by Morgan Llywelyn is about the female pirate, Grace O'Malley.

Oh crap... I can't think of the title - it;s about Annie Bonny, a female pirate. Kingston by Starlight that's it!  An enjoyable read.

A bookseller has put together a list of novels about pirates. Presumably, the list is limited to books s/he has to sell. But it looks pretty good.

I did a search at Amazon for "blackbeard" and then limited the results to Literature & Fiction. There's quite a bit of YA, but also some HF.

Here's an even better result list to browse. Amazon has a subject category for "pirates." This list is limited to HF, so there should be few, if any, YA. It includes another book on Anne Bonney: Pirate Spirit: The Adventures of Anne Bonney by Jeffery Williams.

Have fun!

I got a lot of good responses awhile back when I was looking for Pirates too:

I did receive some of them and I'm in the process of reading them.

Grania: She-King of the Irish Seas by Morgan Llywelyn is about the female pirate, Grace O'Malley.  This books is awesome.  I love her historical fiction but this book is fascinating, a great read.  She also has another book that I haven't read which is for young adults which is called Pirate Queen which is also about Grania.

Robin Maxwell wrote a novel about Grace O' Malley, Elizabeth I and Essex called The Wild Irish.
