Planet of the Apes
Author: Pierre Boulle
"Planet of the Apes hurtles the reader into a distant simian world. With delicate irony Boulle dissects the stupidity of established authority, the vamity of human ambition, and the nature of our society. Fine book, I enjoyed the story within the story and the twist at the end. If you like Planet of the Apes, this is the book that started it all. And really, even tho it is sci-fi, I don't think it's a book limited by that. It covers social commentary and more.
