When browsing the August and September voting list, I completely feel like a fair-weather book clubber. Earlier this year, a colleague of mine had a stroke and I dropped 'out-of-sight' around PBS as my weeks of overtime turned into months of overtime. Lately I've dropped out again, but on a much more positive note... I wrote a play and it will premiering this weekend! Yikes and zoikes! I'm totally tired, nerve wracked, but satisfied to complete this project. If anyone lives in or around the Minneapolis / St. Paul, you're more than welcome to check out my work, "A Drama in Mid-Air" which is one of the 165 shows in this year's Minnesota Fringe Festival. Tickets, directions, and some background about the show is here http://www.fringefestival.org/2012/show/?id=2284 Progress about how I developed the show and what fun we're having at the Fringe will be posted here http://johnnydaydreaming.blogspot.com/

Now I must get back to packing and being nerve-wracked. Hopefully tomorrow's drive will take less than 3 hours. yes After our 1 p.m. premiere, it's all down-hill from there.

I am so impressed! Let us know how the reviews are and how many 'kitties' you are getting.

Sadly, there are no 'kitties' this year. The kitty has be retired and the website lists stars in an effort to be less "insider-y." We just had our first show today, so no reviews yet. But the missing kitty mascot has giving me an idea about doing a story about the kitty either being a spy or in the witness protection program.

And thanks everyone! It feels like a few years since I've had something to sit back and be satisfied over.

Hey the reviews look good on the whole.  Let us know how the ticket sales went.  I won't get to any Fringe shows this year due to a bad root canal, a eye thingy etc.  But now I can say I know someone who did Fringe!

It's official, I'm 'fringed-out!' I've seen 16 other shows plus had 4 performances of our own. For the first time in my life, I'm now cross-eyed. Last performance is Sunday at 4 p.m. If anybody's curious, reviews for my "Drama in Mid-Air" are here http://www.fringefestival.org/2012/show/?id=2284 (click on the review tab under the picture.)
