This series is great for adolescents. I read the first three books over and over through out middle school and even high school. It offers three friends' different perspectives on the trials of growing up. It has the usual best friends and boyfriends themes but seems to be a lot more realistic and down to earth than other series for adolescents.

Half-sized paperback. Definitely a chick book (probably for 12+ y.o.s)
