A friend of mine is trying to find a book that she's read before, but she can't remember the author or title of the book and the book sounds familiar to me, but I can't place it, I was hoping someone could help me find out for her, this is what she said:

"I am trying to find a book I've read. That I want to read again. I have no idea the author or title.

But its about a soldier (I think in the Civil War) with his company coming across a boy in the woods. He goes to chase the boy and finds out she is actually a girl. Her hat falls off and she has blonde hair (I think) It takes place in a wooded area. Anyway, he is captivated by her beauty and kisses her in the woods. Making her feel things she hadn't felt before and she likes it. And it has something to do with her liking to chew on teaberry leaves.

Can you help me find this book??
Here are some of the authors I love if it helps you: Johanna Lindsey, Heather Graham, Linda Lael Miller, Mary Balough, Jo Beverly, Julia Quinn....."

Thanks everyone!

I'm sorry I don't know the title of the book you're looking for, but you might also want to post this question in the Love & Romance section as those "girls" are pretty darned good about coming up with titles of books people are looking for.  Good luck.

I'm not too sure ... I have around 21 Johnanna Lindsey books on my shelf though if you want to check through those to see if they ring a bell.

Thanks Karen and Jennifer.... the list of authors she gave me is just an idea of what she likes to read, the book she's looking for may or may not be written by one of those authors.

Does anyone know of a book title and author searching website?

I know I just read this book not long ago because I remember the chewing on leaves part.

I'll check my read books see if I still have it.

Heather Graham has a Civil War series, have you looked at them to see if any of them sound like a fit? This is on in the series  One Wore Blue
