I just received a wish list book, pages are pulling away from the spine and it looks like maybe the first blank page has been torn out.  Since it is a wish list book ( 148 wishers) I was hoping to be able to re post. But I know I can't.  How would you mark this???

Just from what I can see I'd have to mark it RWAP and ask for my credit back as to me it's not repostable.  Whether you want to ask for your credit back is your decision.   Good luck. Pat

I would RWAP for the binding.

The first page is allowed to be missing, so that is not a reason to RWAP.

You request your credit back from the sender. The sender has the choice whether or not to refund it to you. You will know because you will see the credit in your account. Or you can look in your Credit Registry. Or the sender will let you know if they are refunding you or not. PBS will not get involved.

Sara,

The first page is allowed to be missing

I didn't know this, I just turned down a request because after I looked at the book she wanted the blank page had been torn out.  The binding and all the pages were still tight.  I thought it was not postable.  Dang

Sara sez:

<<The first page is allowed to be missing>>

This statement is a bit misleading -- no text pages are allowed to be missing, nor are step-covers, so if the first page was either of those, it must be there to be postable.

Regardless, the binding makes it unpostable, so hopefully the sender will be reasonable and refund your credit when you ask.

The page that was missing in the book I canceled was the blank page in the front of the book.  Would that book still have been post able????

Bertie the rules say no missing text pages. That means if you were missing a blank page then your book wasn't missing any text pages and was probably still postable.
