Stephanie Plum does not disappoint. Being a between-the-numbers book, we have the return of Diesel and his special powers. Of course that means not much from Morelli or Ranger which is kind of a disappointment for me. I loved this one because Grandma Mazur is at the center of all the trouble, which is tends to lead to laugh-out-loud entertainment. If you're a fan of Stephanie and her gang, you'll like this incredibly fast, entertaining read!

Funny, extremely short read with a St. Patrick's day "theme" and Atlantic City setting. A midget, a horse, and some of the usual cast of characters.

I don't know if it's just me, but I really think that this series has been going downhill with the past few books. It just doesn't feel as funny as it did when I had read the first books with the Plum gang. The characters never change and you can pretty much guess how every book is going to end. I also don't know why the author bothers to have characters who work with law enforcement in this book because it seems like nobody knows how to obey the law. If this were any other series, the characters would've been arrested or in prison by now. I've had to learn to read it as a parody of actual mystery books because so many things are just so out there sometimes. I don't even laugh as much as I used to because the parts that are supposed to be funny just feel like they've been done before in this series. (I mean seriously, we already know Lula is an awful dresser--I don't need another fashion update every ten pages.)

Overall, the book is weak, but a fast read, and I'm glad all I spent on it was a credit.

Just as good as all of Janet's books. I really enjoyed this. Lots of good humor and funny situation with characters we have come to love.
