I enjoyed this little book - it's funny and poignant and reminded me a lot of Roddy Doyle's work (especially Paddy Clark Ha Ha Ha).

Short, sweet, and sad -- those are my biggest impressions here. This is very unusual story, or at least it was for me. I wasn't sure what to expect when I started it, but this was very well done. It's hard to think of things to say that won't give too much away! But I really loved the overall message.

Kind of a peculiar book, but touching in its message. A little girl's best friends go missing and this breaks the little girl's heart. It takes the faith of others to bring them and her smile back. A bittersweet story that is short enough to read in one sitting, but memorable beyond the last page.
