O Wolfe, to thee a streaming flood of woe Sighing we pay, and think e'en conquest dear; Quebec in vain shall teach our breast to glow, Whilst thy sad fate extorts the heart-wrung tear. The four last lines are by Dr. Johnson. t General James Wolfe was born 1726, and fell at the moment of victory at Quebec, Sept. 13th, 1759.
