This is a wonderful book on how a man can lead his family. How I wish I had read this book in 1990 when it first came out. How I wish I could have read this book in 1974 when I was first married. It contains so much practical stuff that a man needs in daily life. This teaches us the how-to of being godly dads.

Most men today don't know how to be dads in a proper biblical way, because their fathers didn't model it before them. (And their dads didn't model it before them.) Most men have never seen any man model this before them. It is largely a lost art.

The author writes from his personal experience what he learned from his own dad. His dad faithfully modeled it before him for over forty years. And now he shares it with us for our benefit.

This is all straight from the Bible. And though I have read all of this a dozen times and more in the Bible, without a real man modeling it before me, I simply don't understand how it is done. It seems we men aren't very smart at being dads.

There is much help in this book. With God's help, we can revive in our day and in our families the way of raising up godly men that can truly be dads.

I have given hardbound copies of this book to my son and to my son-in-law. I gave a bunch more to special men in my life. I recommend this for every man you care about. And I expect it would be helpful for many women, too.

As for myself, I will soon be reading this book again. And again. If I could give a 7-star rating, this would be my first choice. Take a look and see.

If you want to start a revolution, buy a bunch of these. Given them out to every man you love. And wait for the thanks! It won't be long in coming.

May God bless you.

Was both practical and inspiring. Written for dads but quite applicable to moms as well.
