Does anyone have or can recommend a good book on polymer clay jewelry making for beginners? I would really like to get started with this but almost everybook I found was over $20 and I would hate to buy one only to find out it doesn't tell me what I need to know.

I know this is a very old thread but just in case, I agree to go to Amazon. there are lots of fabulous polymer clay books, and many of them are geared towards beginners. look at Donna Kato, Lisa Pavelka, Judy Belcher, Linda Peterson. a local polymer clay guild can really help.

I highly recommend The New Clay by Nan Roche. I have worked with polymer clay for over 20 years and host and produce a free weekly show on how to work with it. I tell all of my students, listeners and viewers to start with this book. it was the very first polymer clay book and has a wide variety of techniques in it and in my opionion is one of the best to start with. Also don't forget to check out You Tube for tons of videos on polymer clay. If you put Polymer Clay TV in the search you can find the show I host, we have covered tons of topics. Have fun!
