I received this book in Early Reviewers giveaway at LibraryThing.com. I had never read any of Mr. Rocha's work before but the book seemed to be very interesting from reading the description provided.

Since I hadn't read any of Mr. Rocha's other work this book was somewhat confusing as it is really the third in the series. While it stood alone as a good story, I felt I was missing quite a bit of information and insight to the characters.

The story was good albeit a bit complex in a number of places. I feel it had a bit too much religous history for my taste, but not so much so that it affected the story or my thoughts of it. The intracacy and complexity of the plot was above average. The characters were complex, but I felt I lacked some of the background.

The twists and turns were unexpected and well done, but the number of characters and the complexity sometimes took a bit away from the twist.

Very similar in theme to Dan Brown's Davinci Code and Angels and Demons; if you liked those stories, Mr. Rocha's work should interest you very nicely.
