It is true that many new members coming here to ask a question/s could get the perception that there are a lot of problematic swaps - though in reality the percentage is very small, and it just appears greater because people mainly come here to start a post when they have a problem (or question).

In the interests of "balancing the scale" - I wanted to post the details of my latest request.

The request was for a fairly obscure fiction paperback (only two copies in system). Only three days elapsed from request to receipt, via media mail, and, the book was in really nice condition, and well packaged.

This site is great!

I've been on a great roll, too.  I just received a 50 year old, only copy in system, OOP paperback that I was thrilled to get.  And it was in lovely shape and arrived in like three days.  And was a part of a deal, and all the books were in great shape.  Yay!

ETA - excuse me.  Two days

I recieved a brand new-ish copy of "The Doctor and the Diva"..........and look how fast it traveled to me media mail!!! What a great experience...start to finish from California to Connecticut in 6 days.   I started the book last night and am more than half way done (400 page hardcover!) and its a great can't put down story. I will be sure to re-post it for another PBS member to enjoy

The member to whom you shipped your book 'Women of the Bible: Deborah's Story: A Novel (Women of the Bible)' has sent you this personal message.

Just an FYI - I received the book, (and not asking for my credit back), but the book was so loose in the bubble mailer that it got very bent and scrunched.

I'm very sorry. I thought a bubble mailer would work and have used them most of the time. Thank you for letting me know and I will pack differently in the future

no problem - you really didn't have to refund the credit; i was not expecting that. Are you sure?? I can return it back to you.

No, please don't return the credit. I feel responsible. Enjoy the book, I did!
