Is it possible to get an address for a book without ever clicking print label? I recently had a book I ordered go canceled because the member sending it never clicked print label and pbs canceled it. The person I ordered from says they hand wrote the address, so they didn't need to click print label. How can you get the address to send it to unless you click print label?

I have to hand write mine and I always have to click print label to get it.

The only time I wouldn't have to click it for a book is if I was sending two books to one person and clicked to see the address for one and used it to mail both books and then forgot to click the other one.  Otherwise...I just don't see how it could happen.

Hijacking this thread - I'm having a problem with the print label. I printed a shipping label today and it still shows that I need to print the label. I can't get to the book mailed button.

Any thoughts?

You have to click "print label", but you don't click on the little printer, so all you have is the address which you can write out long hand.  Soneone is trying to pull your leg.

Char, are you on a Mac? Sometimes PBS has issues with Safari and things just don't work right (if I forget to switch to Firefox, sometimes the system won't let me mark books rec'd, etc., for example).  Carol Ann

Maybe the person was doing what I do, as I hand-write my labels.  I click the "can't get label to print?" button and on the second page I hit another similar button at the bottom (don't have one to print now, so can't walk through it), effectively bypassing the normal printing routine.  My printer screen is still prompted, but I cancel that.  When I go back to the book page, the button "label printed" is in bold green.  I never click on that, just "book mailed".

But it should still show up in the details with a "label printed" date, Suzanne, as long as you've gotten to the screen that has the person's address, whether or not you actually printed it. Whether you use the regular "print wrapper" or 'can't get the wrapper to print' link, it will still show as "label printed."

Every time I have had the label printed screen come up "awaiting member" I've never received the book. Surprise, surprise! LOL
