I have a copy of World Without End that I'd like to list, but only to someone ordering more than one book, since it's a big, heavy book. Is there a way to list a book as available to BOB members, but not have it appear on my general bookshelf?

Thanks,

Tricia B

Nope.  The only way you can try and get around is to list it in the Book Bazaar.

Actually, there is a way to freeze your shelf to general requests and keep it open for box o books.  The Help Center states:

How does the Vacation Hold affect Box-O-Books?

Box-O-Books is not affected by a Bookshelf Hold.

  • You can put your bookshelf on hold for regular (for-credit) requests, and keep it open to Boxers.
  • In order to hide your bookshelf from Boxers, you will need to Pause your Box-O-Books as well:
    • To do this, click the Settings tab on the far right in the Box-O-Books area.
    • Click
    • To UnPause Box-O-Books later, just go to your Settings again and click the button

While this wouldn't restrict one particular book to Box-o-Books, I thought it was still helpful to note that it is possible to restrict your shelf to boxing.

If it is a WL book, it will still be held for the WL when you post it to your shelf. (And if it is a postable WL book, you cannot post it in the BB per the rules of that forum.)

You could also advertise it as a freebie in your signature line for B-O-B'ers only.  That way, you avoid posting it entirely.
