I have so many. I'm thinking about posting a few I haven't read yet.  Chances are they won't go right away and if they do I have a few days before I have to mail them right? So I can just read it really quick and then send it off.  The downside of this plan is what if I love one so much that I want to keep it but I've already agreed to send it off.

I don't post unless the book is available..either I've read it, or decided not to read it...When I request a book, I want it in the mail yesterday...I don't like waiting...and I asume others don't either.

I only post a book I know I will read in the next day or so, and that will not be a keeper.

Yes, I post stuff I haven't read yet.  Mostly, it's stuff I don't ever intend to read or I tried to read but couldn't get thru it.  You would have a day or two to read before you mailed it but, like you said, if you feel it's a keeper you've already agreed to send it out.

I don't post anything I'm iffy about keeping.  If it's on my shelf, I'll send it out upon request.

I mail books off as quickly as I can but I babysit 3 little ones.  So I try to go to the PO once a week.  Otherwise I have to drag 3 little kids with me.  We have like a small little sub branch for a PO and there is always a long line no matter what time of day you go.  Not fun w/little ones. I think I'm going to go through them and the ones that I got in ebay multi-book orders and have no real interest in, post those. I have some really old ones and I think I'm going to create a long "free w/order list".  I know it says you can post old books that are yellowing but they just don't look right to me.

I don't post anything unless I've read it or decided not to read it.     I like to throw them in the mail and feel like I'm actually cleaning my house.  :D

I think for me it depends on when I bought the book. Most of the time, it sits on my reminder list or my TBR pile.

I'm with Michelle--I'll post books I haven't read if I've decided I'm not going to.  Then they get ordered and I have (a smidge) more room for ordering new books :)

I let books sit on my TBR for one year before posting them here.  Then, if they haven't cleared in 3 months I either take them to the UBS for credit or to the library for an FOL sale.

These are books from my actual TBR. Sometimes I'll pick up books that I think might be wanted here.  They'll just sit around here forever because I never think about them.  LOL

I have gone to garage sales and bought books specificly to post them without reading them.  In fact I did that today and had 3 wishlist books in the bunch!!  I think I posted like 15 books today.

I wouldn't post anything I hadn't read yet but was planning on. What would happen if a book you had meant to read was ordered but life got in the way and for some reason or other you didn't have time to read the book. You would either make the orderer upset by making them wait extra days for the book, or you would feel like you might have wanted to read that book and after sending it having to reorder it again.

I don't post a book until I've read it or have decided that I'm not ever going to read it.  I don't want to be rushed trying to read it quickly after it gets requested.

I do post books from my TBR pile which I haven't read.  Most of them are books that I've picked up specifically for trading or books that looked interesting when I bought them but no longer interested now.  Occasionally, I have had requests for one of these books and as I'm packing, have become engrossed in it and even liked it so much that I want to keep.  But generally once I send it on its way, I don't think about it anymore.  It does add stress by having to read it so quickly (between request date and final shipping date) but it can be done.

Yes, I do sometimes post books I haven't read.  I either bought them specifically at a UBS for trading purposes or I bought them planning to read them but now have decided I am not going to get to them anytime soon and would rather send them onto another member for a credit.
