Hi - I just came into a bunch of romance books and I want to offer them in the BB in bundles (3-1)

My question:  Do I have to post every book to my bookshelf that is included in the deal or just the first book I am asking them to request and the other two are automatically included?  In the BB thread I ask to request XYZ book and the 2 that are included in that bundle.

Thanks

I don't see anything in the rules about this (maybe someone else can?), but I don't see where this would be a problem. I got a set of Kathy Reichs books this way. The poster listed the bundles and asked the requesters to order the first book and PM about wanting the bundle deal. The other two were included in the box as "freebies" much the same way unpostables or ARCs frequently are in the Book Bazaar.

Thanks Anissa - I was thinking the same way and couldn't find anything in the help docs.  I might hold on a bit and see if anyone else answers -I would hate for it to be against the rules.  thanks for the reply

There are basically three ways.  Post only one book and up the postage before printing.  (Most common way.)   Post all the books and refund credits.   Post all the books and use the ship to a friend option.  The pluses for the last two methods are that there is a record of the book in the system, so if there is a problem, PBS is involved.  And the books keep their tracking footprint.  And the last two have the advantage that you don't end up with a book posted that you already sent.  Remembering to remove the deal books from your bookshelf is often an issue if there is multiple deals.

But the first one is much less effort.  And should be used whenever an unpostable is included in the deal.  I try and make it clear in my offer which method I'm using.

Thanks Emily for the reply - I like option 1 and 3 - I will get totally confused refunding credits  and will probably mess up the books as well.  Ok I guess I am going to have give this some thought before I post on the BB.

I've done similar before.

"Order these books (titles) and I"ll send (titles) along for free!'

It limits problems of two people requesting parts of bundles!
