Can anyone tell me if we can post multiple copies of the same book to our Bookshelf? I've been seeking out all the book hidey-holes in the house and believe it or not, we have 2 copies of Arizona's Tree Squirrels. I have DH to thank for that. Anyway, I posted one copy, but there doesn't seem to be a way to indicate that I have 2 copies to swap. Not too urgent of an issue - I sincerely doubt that this will come up on anyone's WL! lol |

NO, only one of any ISBn can be posted at a time until it's been received (or maybe marked mailed???). I think it's received. 2 different ISBN's can be posted. Ruth ETA - do you participate in the games forum? It could be a "white elephant" candidate! ;D Last Edited on: 4/3/09 3:30 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

You can post the second copy as soon as you mark the first one mailed - you do not have to wait for it to be received by other member. I just posted my third copy of a book (I'm trying to collect a series and if I don't have my list with me, I'm not sure which numbers to get so if I see them cheap, I just pick them up!!!) |

firstly, giggle that it's a book about squirrels which is funny to have two copies. It is my understanding that the first transaction has to be processed (apparently mailed, according to the poster above me) before you can post the other one. |

Sianeka is right, you can post the second copy only after mailing the first one. Though I've always wondered why is that?! I can see the logic if a book already has number of copies in the system, it ensures that every member gets a fair chance to get their copy requested. |

I think it may be that way to prevent accidental duplications. |
