Had an interesting trip to my local post office.   All the computers were down in the Englewood, CO. area. So I was told I could go to Office Depot to mail the book.  There they have you type in all the information yourself, where it is going and who it is from, so I thought I was all set.   Then they told me it would be $5.16 to mail, instead of the $2.67 for media mail.. So I guess I need to wait til Monday to see if post office computers are back up and running....

You could buy a $2.67 stamp from the machine since Media Mail is printed on the wrapper.

The stamp needs to be $2.69, not $2.67.

PBS has a rate chart under the Help Documents tab.  Print out a copy and take it with you...then you can use any automated postage machine to buy postage.  Most don't offer Media Mail rate as an option (but you can use it anyway), just use the 'purchase a stamp' option.
