I almost finished with a book that is wishlisted by a few people (about 100).  I would like to post the book here but on one of the text pages, towards the bottom of the page, there's a 1/2" line...looks like an accidental swipe of the pen.  The rest of the book meets the criteria for a postable book but because of that 1/2" line, I don't know what to do.  It isn't marring any of the text but it is still on a text page.

What would you suggest I do?

Personally, I'm of the "common sense" approach here.

Is the book still in "good, not excessively worn" condition? If it is, and given that the mark is not going through the text, I'd post it. If every book that had an accidental 1/2" mark someplace in the book weren't posted, we'd have many fewer books going through this site.

I agree, I would post the book as well.

I am a very by the rules person and I would say post the book. If it were a stain, I'd feel differently, but one small ink line not near text is no different (actually less intrusive) than a library stamp and those are allowed on text pages as long as they are not on the text.

Thanks!  I'll go ahead and post the book when I finish reading it.

I think it would be a great idea to list it. When you get the request, you could PM the requester and let them know of the mark. They can then decide if they want it or not. The mark would not deter me.

Personally it wouldn't bother me at all especially if there was a long WL line for the book. If you're worried about you could post the book in the book bazaar and find someone to post it directly to their WL.  Heck you could put the title in this thread and probably find someone who doesn't care about the ink mark.

I think you should post it.   I do not think there should be any consideration to the fact that it's a WL book.  A book is either postable or not - the WL has nothing to do with that.

I agree with everyone, Geraldine: post it!  Anyone who would have a complaint about a mark like that does not belong here, IMO.
