Last winter I received a copy of Inkheart and even though it had a some wear and even two little puncture marks on cover and tiny tears on the pages beneath it-1/4 inch?), I gladly accepted it for my son to read. Now, he is finished with it and I'm unsure if I can post it.

If a book is on my wishlist sometimes I would take it in almost any condition(if I just want to keep it) and others I like in very good condition(for the ones I'm going to swap right back in to the system)

I just would hate to drop it at the thrift store when people are wishing for it! What should I do?

Thanks!

It it's an unpostable you can go to the book bazaar forum and advertise it there, someone who wants to read it regardless of condition can request it from you for a credit.

If the puncture marks are teeth, or the tears are on text pages, I say no.

Thanks, I'll look over at the book bazaar forum. The thing is, I'm not sure if it's not postable. But since I am unsure maybe the bb forum is the way to go! Thinking or rather typing aloud--lol...!

tiny tears on the pages beneath it-1/4 inch?),  - I take the posting guidelines at their word and they so no tears in the pages so I say not postable. You can offer it in the Bazaar for a credit as long as you explain the issues.

I'm not sure what the puncture marks are--looks more like a staple was through it than teeth. I can't imagine any animal could make those marks. But the little rips...yes they are on the reading pages so I guess that's my answer. Thank you, Rick and Melanie.

Hmmm, well, from what I just read on the BB forum, you can't list a book for credit there if it's damaged.

The Bunnicula of the book world, perhaps?

Yes, you are allowed to ask for a credit in the BB (only) for unpostable books. PBS has clarified this recently. So feel free to ask for a credit for your Wish Listed book!

ANyway, thank you Sara and everyone else. I posted it there!
