I just received a wish listed book, and it is pretty worn out - I wouldn't repost it.  There is a section of the book (about 30 pages) that has come apart from the spine a little, starting at the bottom and going about 3/4 of the way up.  Also, the book opens up to quite a few different pages where you can see lots of holes along where the binding and page comes together.  Does everyone know what I'm talking about?  There is another couple of pages that I can open the book to and see the spine between the pages.  Is this cleaving?  Anyway, what would you do, mark it received with a problem?

Sounds like the spine is cleaved, so yes, I'd mark it a RWAP.

Thanks, that's what I'll do.

the book opens up to quite a few different pages where you can see lots of holes along where the binding and page comes together - completely normal in most newer binded books, particularly paperbacks, postable

a section of the book (about 30 pages) that has come apart from the spine a little, starting at the bottom and going about 3/4 of the way up - totally unpostable

couple of pages that I can open the book to and see the spine between the pages.  Is this cleaving?  - this is becoming harder with book binding these days and there's lots of posts trying to figure it out. I think the word cleaving was removed from the rules because some instances that could be described as cleaving are still postable. In my opinion, if everything is still securely fastened into the book, I wouldn't mark it RWP (this is the answer I am also seeing more and more TGs giving people in the forums). If the integrity of the binding is failing, unpostable.

There is definitely a bunch of pages that has pulled away from the binding.  A lot of the pages look like they're about ready to come out if I touch them.  It is something that I wouldn't repost here because I don't feel it's postable, and I would certainly be afraid of the receiver not liking the condition.   Am I just being too picky?  I really wanted a decent copy, but I've gotten unpostables here free that were in better condition.

 Thanks everyone for your help.
