I am getting ready to post several books and when I checked them over, I noted that one of my hardbacks looks funny towards the middle.  The pages are firmly attached to the book, but it looks like the publisher didn't finish the seam totally (kind of stuttered stepped, KWIM?). It is not cleaved- at least not what I have seen posted here or seen described. Should I post or not?

For clarity, do you mean it appears the stitching or glue machine skipped a bit while processing your book?  I've also noticed inconsistancies in this area of book manufacturing.

Sounds like pinhole separation maybe? That is postable.

Yes, that describes it perfectly! It is like stitch-gap-gap-stitch-gap-gap-stitch. What do you think I should do?

Pat, I believe it's postable when it's the pinhole effect.  As long as the pages are bound to the spine from top to bottom it should be okay.
