I have 2 wishlisted books in very good condition ... only thing is, my puppy decided he wanted to read and tore some books up .. not these ... they DO however, have very light, faint teeth marks ... not many and hardly noticeable really ... I know the rules are no chewed/gnawed books ... but is that referring to the books that get chewed through? Thank you in advance for advise! |

Janet - Why don't you post a picture? By your description, it seems the books are OK but to give you a more firm, it's better if we can take a look. :) |

I would say any teeth marks that are visible are going to be marked RWAP - damaged by sender due to being chewed/gnawed on. Teeth marks = chewed on/gnawed on to me, I don't expect a chuck of the book to be missing or anything to make it unpostable. I wouldn't risk sending them. Offer them in the Bazaar where you can explain the damage and ask for a credit. |

Melanie - That's why I thought it better to ask. I've been on PBS for 5 yrs now and no problems at all ... This is one of those gray areas ... Thanks for the insight .. I think I will just offer a deal and include this .. once I list the rest of my books! |

Well, if there is no damage to the books then they are postable. If there is no water damage at all from saliva and no rips or tears in the covers .... then the book is not damaged. Dents or impressions in the cover is not unpostable. I throw my books in my purse all the time, and sometimes my keys rub or bump against the covers in such as way as to look like they "could" be teeth marks. I don't worry about posting them at all.
