So I won a set of Christine Feehan Dark books on audio MP3-CD on EBAY. They came just in the clear plastic CD case-no cover artwork or cardboard box. They are not ones that someone just ripped off their computer. They are by Books In Motion and it says on CF'S website that her publisher has just issued the Dark series on CD through Books in Motion. The posting guidelines say that audio books don't need their cardboard boxes as long as they aren't home made copies. So can I post these w/o an ISBN? They're actual purchased CDS w/the copyright on them-not ones burned on a home computer. |

You don't have to have the artwork, so post away! BTW, you might check to see if the ISBN is on a file on the first disk. Wouldn't hurt to check. If it's there, you can post it under that ISBN. |

Hmm. Each book has it's own disc and I had to open them to transfer them to my IPOD. For some reason ITunes couldn't automatically read them. Even though my computer could. Rhapsody and other music programs auto played them but not ITUNES. I had to drag them to ITUNES where it new the name/author and everything. It just wouldn't access the disk. When I opened the disc on My Computer I didn't see an ISBN. But then I wasn't looking either. |

I'm not sure about whether there would be a TXT or maybe a PDF file that might have specific book info. Just thought it might be worth a look. It would save a bit of hassle if the info is there, KWIM? |

MP3 CDs are allowed as long as they are not bootleg/homemade copies. If you buy an MP3-CD from a publisher (Audible, Brilliance etc...,) and actually have the disc then it's postable. If you download an audiobook and burn it to a disc-that disc is not postable. You just have to make sure they are posted as MP3CDs so that people ordering them know that they have to have an MP3 player. I put them on my computer and download them to my IPOD. Some people have CD players in their car that can play MP3's. I was just concerned because they don't have the box/artwork or an ISBN. But they clearly say the copywrite and the publishing group info etc..., |
