I am currently reading Hot Six by Janet Evanovich.  Silly me left it on my nightstand and one of the puppies brought it to me.  The book looks brand new EXCEPT the bottom right corner has a puncture about the size of a paperclip in diameter.  His little razor sharp tooth went right through to page 20.  It has little scratches right below that.  He just picked it up and brought it to me.  The area is 1" x 1" that is tooth marked.

Personally I would take it, but someone with a pet allergy might not?  The pages weren't wet with slobber or anything.  But I wanted to know what you guys think.  I have a picture of it.

I would say teeth marks mean it is not postable. Someone receiving it isn't going to know if it was one bite or a half-hour chewing.

  • Cover not torn or chewed/gnawed
    • some used book stores cut out a small part of the cover; if the amount missing is less than 1 inch, this is OKAY
    • a small rip (less than 1 inch) in the cover is OKAY
    • yes, that does say "chewed/gnawed" above.  That means no pet-chewed (or human-chewed) books.

I'd gladly take a book like that but some  people want "Like New" condition and are VERY picky about what they receive here.   It was right of you to ask.... in my opinion.  I'd rather ask questions and do the right thing than "wonder" about it and post or NOT post the appropriate books.

    I'm rambling, sorry.  hehe
