I just went to mark a book received and though the label has a mailed date, there is no cost amount listed, just a QR symbol! what's up with that?

Is it through PayPal? I think I have my PayPal default set to not show the amount of postage on the label, its embedded in the endicium so the po knows.

It says postage purchased thru Ebay so I guess it's like the paypal label.

I've received a number of packages labeled that way, they list the weight and the rate catagory but not the actual postage amount.

I got one today that had the Postal tracking system sticker, but no Postal pricing or date sticker.  Know it went through the PO because of the tracking bar, so don't know if the clerk forgot to put the postage sticker on or whether it fell off.  Pat

On Paypal postage, the default is no postage amount showing. You actually have to checkmark the box to show postage amounts. I now do this as my PO clerk said they prefer it be shown.

I've received a few of those also Pat.  Could go either way, but I know for sure some get in the mail system without postage and are delivered that way.  I had one arrive, and mentioned it to the sender when I logged it in.  He said he always uses printable postage so of course his package had postage...but really it didn't.  The little PBS estimated postage in the corner looks a bit like postage, I've even had it fool PO counter clerks.  Had to ask them to fish my package out of the bin and calculate counter postage.

I've mailed around 90% of my packages using Paypal postage and I've never bothered with showing the amount. It shows the weight though.

Paypal actually has a box to check off if you want to show the postage amount.

ETA: Oops, someone already said this.  Sorry for the repeat.
