Hi, this is a extremely simple question which i cannot find the answer too. If I would like to mail my book with stamps, how many should I use assuming the book is 12oz or so? I mean using 42 cent stams. thank you!!

But it has to be under 13 oz if you are using stamps.    That is slightly over 5 of the 42 cent stamps.  Add a postcard stamp.

You need to know the exact weight.  If it's indeed 13oz when wrapped then you have to mail it with the printed postage or hand it to a postal clerk.

You can go to the post office website and get all the postage rates.

I also wanted to say that anything over 10oz-I either use the printed postage or get the postage at the PO.  People have posted on here that they had a 10 or 11 oz book returned for having stamps on it because it looked like it was 13oz.

My carrier won't take them if they are trade paperback size.  He won't even guess if it is okay or not.  Don't really blame him.  After all, he'd end up carring it back if it was over 13 oz.
