Where can I find a cheap postal scale? I checked my local post office and the scale they have is $60.00. Would any plain scale at like a Wal-Mart work? |

You can get an inexpensive ($14.99) food scale at Wal-Mart that will suffice. |

I got mine at Target, digital, about $12. It is accurate to within an ounce of the one at the PO. |

There are many inexpensive places to pick up an inexpensive postal (or food scale, which will also work). PBS even sells a digital scale: Just click on Kiosk, then click on Go Shopping link -- it's the last item on the shopping page. I would just recommend getting the digital, not a dial one. The dial are too difficult to read the ounces when you are dealing with that FC to MM switch. |

Thanks. I'll go check target first before I buy the one from here. Cutting on cost right now. |

I purchased mine at Office Depot |

Any scale will work! As long as it's accurate. I got a nice digital scale from Ebay. A basic food scale works for lighter books. |

I got my digital scale on eBay probably about ten years ago. It lives on my kitchen counter and it is happy to weigh both mail and food. It has a lifetime lithium battery (yay no wires) and works just as well today as when it was new. Totally worth the 35 dollars I paid for it.

I got a food scale. It's bright colored so I can find it. Batteries. Up to 5 pounds. Wonderful. Worth every penny. Had a manual postal scale with this itty bitty platform. Could not read it if a large envelope was shading the scale. Argh. |

Got mine on Ebay, first thing I ever purchased there. |

I bought my postal scale at the post office for $14.00 last year. |

I got mine several years ago from the kiosk here. Works great. |
