I posted a copy of The Lost City and The Scarlet Lake Mystery, both by John Blaine.  Both books are on wish lists but I haven't received any requests to ship them.  Neither book has an ISBN.  Since I know there are folks out there who'd like these books and are waiting for them, I'd like to know how to make those wishes come true.  Thanks!  Ann H.

You almost have to hope that the wishers want the books so much that they  do a title or author search once in awhile. That is how I found one of my wish listed books. But I am aware that the books I want are so old they don't have ISBNs. Other than that , posting in the different forum categories will get the word out. Or you can advertise in your siggy line and it will show up at the bottom of all your forum posts.

Well, it looks like you just posted them yesterday, so I would give it a little time.  If you would like, you can post in either the Book Bazaar or the Children's Book forum that you have versions of these books on your shelf.  Hopefully, someone will see them or order them soon.

What would help is putting some info in your listing. You didn't add a book description or really any info about the book.  I know I personally won't go hunting for info about a book I see on the Books Recently Posted if the poster didn't take the timeto fill any info when doing a post without an ISBN book.  Scan the cover or find a picture of it online and fill in teh book description.

Most of the time when I post a WL without an ISBN because mine is wrong or doesn't have one-it gets ordered pretty quickly.  Put I put a picture and fill in the book description.

Posting in your signature only works if you post in the forums a lot.  You could try advertising them inthe book bazaar.

And by book description, I mean what the book is about not the condition of the book.

I once received an email from PBS about a book that was "similar" to one on my wish list.  The email indicated another member had just posted a book with the same title and author as the one on my wish list.  They could not guarantee the same binding, etc, but it was nice that they alerted me to it. I went ahead and ordered it.

The emails only come if you have that option selected and for books with real ISBN's not the PBS ISBNs.
