I posted a book directly to a buddy's wish list & it went to someone else. I checked the ISBN, I made sure when I posted it I was in her wish list & it said "posting to ..... and it had her name in it, but STILL it did not go to her. Now I am having to wait an hour for whomever it went to for "buyers remorse" so apparently they had this book on automatic accept, but I posted it directly to someone else. This has happened to me a couple times before and I hate to disappoint someone that thinks they are getting a book - either my buddy or the person it went to - as I only have 1 book. How can I keep this from happening (other than not posting to my buddy as we will still want to do that occasionally)

Did your buddy know that you were posting to her? Is it possible she could have been out of credits and decided not to buy any (not knowing the book was coming from you) and declined the offer?  If she declined the order, it would automatically go to the next person in the WL line.

Yes, she knew & was waiting for the book. I posted a couple others to her at the same time & they were fine, just the one had a problem. She wanted the book, it just never went to her. I even went so far as to get out of her wishlist & back in for each book, check the ISBN & the system even said it was posting to her, yet it never did. Im wondering if there is some glitch in the PBS system. I was very careful to check all items and make sure it went to her & it still didn't, but the others I posted to her went just fine?

That happened to me before.  I had the 1st & 2nd books in a popular romance series.  I posted the 1st one figuring whoever had that WL would probably have the 2nd. She did and I offered to post it to her WL and send them in the same package.  I made sure the ISBN# matched and posted it from her WL page.  It still went to someone else.  I had to PM the 1st person and apologize.

But then last week I had the same scenerio-2 bks in a series that were WL.  Tried the same thing again and it worked.  I was able to send both off to the same person.

Does anyone know why this is happening? If its something I am doing wrong I would really like to know so I can correct myself. I hate to disappoint anyone!

It's just a glitch that happens sometimes.  Like yesterday when it told me it couldn't print postage for my address.  After about 4 tries it finally let me print postage.  Stuff happens.
