Friendship Card Swap (In honor of my new friends)

This is a handmade card swap.  When all participants are finished each swapper will have six Friendship themed cards made by other swappers.

Each participant will be making Seven identical Friendship themed cards. Six to send for swapping and one to keep for yourself. You are free to sign up for more than one spot, however please have different cards for each spot.

There are no requirements for the type of card or the materials you use, just stick to the theme. So let your creativity juices flow! I do ask that you make the same quality of card that you yourself would like to receive by using no fewer than two layers of quality cardstock. Your cards should also be accompanied by a matching envelope.

Recipes for your cards are not required, however please include your name and contact information on your cards in case someone may have a question or just want to tell you  what a great job you did.

Signups for his swap will close on  May  30th.  Your cards should be to me no later than June 22nd. I will have cards swapped out and in the mail on their way back home no later than June 30th. Please make sure that you make the deadlines because I hate to send cards back not swapped.

Please place your cards in a plastic baggie with your name and the name of the swap written on the outside.

Cards should be mailed along with a self addressed stamped envelope. Please add one postage stamp to ensure sufficient postage for the trip home.

Yes we have started! I am almost done with a group site at Yahoo Groups for us thanks to Robins suggestion and pointing me in the right direction. I was really hoping to have it done by now, but so many unexpected things have happened that are taking up my craft time...  such is life!

Above is the link to the yahoo group that i have put together, or should i say putting together as a place for the swap group.  I have already posted this swap there and a few other things, such as a few polls, a pix one of the friendship cards I made for my first set, a few links, a few lists to add members birthdays, and a list for members to sign up on for the monthly swap they would like to do and when. Of course it is just a start and I hope that everyone will have their own things to add to the group and site. I want to add a challenge, rak's and maybe a charity. Also feel free to post a swap you would like to get started other than the monthly swap that I ask members to help with. Hope you enjoy!!! I know that I am going to!!!  ~Sherry

it seems like the list got longer.. so now how many cards should we make?

How many cards to make? Same amount...If however you would like more cards you may opt to sign up for 2 spots. Just keep in mind that this means that your second spot should be a different design... but instead of 6 cards you will get back 12 different cards, if there are 12 different people. Right now it looks like you would be getting a few duplicates. If you decide you would like a second spot just let me know.

I am going to answer questions, sign ups etc for a few more weeks here, but would like to convert to the yahoo groups so that everything is in one spot.

hey sherry, on the yahoo page i noticed that there are less people on the list than on the pbswap card list... are they going to join... just curious..the pbswap list shows 2 or 3 more names i think.... so does that make it more cards that we need to make?? thanks

i went and got the priority stamp today.... the postmaster said that the priority stamp is $4.90  ...not bad.... i am getting the cards done....  what fun..

I joined the yahoo group... hopefully I can start on my cards this weekend

Sue~ Glad to hear you joined the yahoo group. I am in the middle of putting together the welcome letter for the yahoo site. Actually taking a break from it to give myself a little time to make sure that I have included everything before I send out. Hopefully it can be used as a sort of road map to the site. Touch on some of the goals of the site, etc....

Yvonne~ A priority stamp can get expensive. your cards should not cost more than a few dollars to send and then of course the same amount of postage plus one stamp to send back. Just wanted to let you know...
