Oh, crap! I posted a paperback using the ISBN on the back of the Title Page of the book (verso?) instead of the itsy-bitsy teeny-tiny ISBN listed on the back cover. Well, I didn't realize that they list all the ISBNs for all the versions... paperback AND hardback. So, I inadvertantly listed the book as a hardcover when I really have the paperback. I have since listed it as a paperback BUT it is still on my shelf as a hardcover and I cannot delete it. Since it is a heavily wished-for book, it immediately generated a note to a wisher... rendering the little check-box a round, gray circle with an exclamation point icon. HOW can I delete it? Is it going to have to go through all 35 wishers and I will have to PM everyone individually each time they request my book?

I believe that you can cancel it. Others here are more knwoledgeble about what to do. |

You can cancel the request AFTER the wisher chooses to receive the book. Choose "I cannot mail" and the book will be removed from your shelf. |

Britney - can I do that? I have chosen "I cannot mail" (b/c of requestor conditions) and I thought it went back on my list for the next person. |

If you clicked on cannot mail due to requestor conditions, then yes, it WILL go right back onto the list for the next person. When the next person accepts the book, you need to cancel the order - not because of requestor conditions. Just cancel it, which will take the book out of the system entirely. |

another option is to contact TPTB and they will cancel it... |

Just to clarify Marcia's other issue... <<on the back of the Title Page of the book (verso?)>> Yes. The back side of the title page is called the verso. Technically, any left hand page of any book is a verso, compared to the right hand page, called a recto. But you rarely hear either term except when referring to the title page, or trying to rack up some points in Scrabble :-) Cheers, Catt |

If the requestor does have RCs, say that the book meets them - but then cancel on the next screen. Otherwise the request will get passed on. |

Catt - THANKS! I was hoping that I was using the word correctly. |

Elizabeth - those terms you used sound almost like sex terms! How strange - never knew bibliophiles were so kinky!! ;D Ruth |
