Hi hope someone can help me out. I tried to post a book and the book shows up with a different cover and says paperback mine is a MMP. I do not want someone to get the wrong book. The ISBN number is the same. What should I do????...Thanks

The cover does not matter.  If someone wants a specific style of cover, they must write a RC.  If it is a paperback or a Hardcover does matter.  If it is Trade sized paperback or a Mass Market sized paperback does not matter.

It is the same title and author?  The publishers will use the same number for each reprint, even if they change the cover.

You're fine.  The cover doesn't have to match.   And when the PBS description says paperback, it could be either a trade paperback or a mass market paperback.

A book listed as being a "paperback" can be any kind of paperback that is not a hardcover. If it specifically said MMP or Trade, then you might have to list it as a non-ISBN book, but as long as all it says is "paperback" it can be any paperback and you are fine. And as Emily said, the cover doesn't have to match. It's very common for them not to.
